Tri-State Lawyer Magazine will be mailed bi-monthly to attorneys, paralegals and other legal professionals in the Greater Cincinnati area—reaching 100 percent of the region’s estimated 10,000 attorneys and legal professionals.
Demographics
As reported by Salary.com:
- The median income for lawyers in the Tri-State is between $82,000 and $142,000
- The average salary for area paralegals is between $42,000 and $64,000
Making the combined earning of the Tri-State legal community an estimated $1 billion annually.
According to The Lawyer Statistical Report published by the American Bar Foundation, in the year 2000:
- The median age of lawyers nationally was 45-years-old
- The gender split nationally was 73 percent male and 27 percent female
- Approximately 74 percent of U.S. attorneys were engaged in private practice, 8 percent were employed by the government, an additional 8 percent were retained by private industry, 5 percent were retired/inactive and the remaining 6 percent were involved in judiciary, education, legal aid and private association practice.
Finally, of the 36,000 attorneys that practice law in Ohio, 16 percent do so in Cincinnati. Nineteen percent of Kentucky’s 11,000 lawyers call the Tri-State their home.
